What I have been doing, what I am doing, and what I will be doing
[mood: aldkjflasdjfds] [listening to: oldies]
Alright. I had an entire half post written when Firefox crashed. I am going to attempt to recreate it the best I can. Just like old times, eh? So. Here we go. An overview of what I've been doing, what I am... well you read the title, and this would be the fourth time to type it out. Here you go. I'll even add a cute little image to the right (indicating I've fixed the image bug and that we, indeed, are back. Read for details).
What I Have Been Doing: Web Development + Blogging
Ha! Blogging! ... Just not Hublogging, shamefully. During the semester, I write for our undergraduate blog, the Bwog. I've mentioned this previously. Like people who work for the paper in a lot of other schools, this consumes a lot of my time; perhaps more than it should, but I still enjoy it. And I'm proud to say that I routinely use the many lessons I've learned from Hublog about blogging and writing for an online audience when I'm writing for Columbia students.
As for web development, during the school year, I've been primarily working on two projects. I work under the IT Director of Columbia's old people school, and I've been developing a website for them. It's an internal website for their HR department, so there's not really much to show off. But trust me, it's cool. In addition to that, I've been working for Hoot Magazine, our student-run fashion magazine. I've been designing and developing a website for them, as well as migrating and doing other administrative stuff for their blog. You can check these out. They're cool. My first non-Hublog work in the wild!
What I Am Doing: Web Development + Blogging (+ GTA IV + MW2)
Currently (as in, this week) I'm doing some freelance work for Columbia's old people school, wrapping up some loose ends on the project I worked on during the semester. I should probably be doing that instead of writing this, but hey, like I've said, Hublog changes to suit the needs of a community. And now I need a way to procrastinate.
As for blogging, I'm writing this, aren't I? I also rounded a few corners the other night. Like/dislike?
I also recently traded my old phone and some cash for a PS3 on Craigslist. My gamertag/username/thing is "dococtopi." Add me. You'll probably kick my ass in MW2... for now. I'm getting better. I haven't fiddled with GTA IV multiplayer much, but it's not that great from what I've played.

On Monday, I'll officially enter the world of interning. I'm going to be working for Noblis, a nonprofit engineering organization (in their words, "nonprofit science, technology and strategy organization that helps clients solve complex scientific systems, process, and infrastructure problems" ... I smell DoD contracts I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say that.). Guess what I'm going to be doing for them? Nope, not blogging. Nor GTA/MW (I wish). Yeah. The only other one left. I'm gonna be creating a site that visualizes climate data, and from my discussions with my supervisor and other people on the team so far, I'm going to basically be the intern in charge of the design/development... which is a daunting task to say the least.
And I promise to write more posts, keeping you guys updated on what I do.
Oh and play more PS3 in my spare time. There's a story about how I ordered HDMI cables from a crappy company on Amazon and they canceled my order. But that's another post.
TL;DR
I've written for this; I've worked on this. They're cool. I'll be doing more of the same of the latter over the summer.
We're I'm back. (I can only speak for myself, but I urge my fellow authors to follow suit.)
I like this TL;DR section.
