Alex ma: nice. Lubky you i suppose [sic]

So I guess Obama wins. Nice.
Now let's hope we'll start seeing less of this. I don't care too much about those bigger businesses, but in the end their problems affect our wallets, so let's see some improvements, k?
Although, if this is true then it's all good, because I'm set.
Also, the government says "We can see you."
A bit late for this, but it's still amusing.
Also, a quote for the ages: "I thought I had a third nipple once, but it ended up just being a zit."
To AP College Board course directors
As a dedicated Latin student of 7 years, I believe it is in the best interest of all future Latin students to be offered the opportunity to take the AP Latin Literature course and test in addition to the AP Latin Vergil course. From an educational standpoint, having both courses available offers students a wide selection of classical Latin authors to read and study. With this, students can become more familiar with great Latin literature outside of Vergil's Aeneid. This gives Latin students and future classical scholars the opportunity to experience a broad spectrum of the art mastered by these timeless poets and writers. Having students learn about writers like Catullus, Ovid, and Horace also makes the course more appealing by having a variety of styles to learn about. In addition to the variety having two AP Latin courses offers students, it is also essential as proof of a students dedication to his Latin education. Having two AP courses available to Latin students rewards their their long-time study by giving them more AP classes to test for and add to their college resumes. AP courses hold weighted credit in many schools, and this weighted credit gives students an always-welcome boost to their GPA. In light of this information, I hope that the AP board will reconsider its decision to rescind the AP Latin Literature course and all of its benefits for future Latin students.
I was afraid M[r]s. Farmer would think that my letter was too sarcastic. Is it? Well I did let some sarcasm slip through, but I tried to hold it back as I neared the end. What do you think?
Oops. Just realized I forgot a comma.
And an apostrophe.
Damn.
Lesson: Major constructive arguments should not be written in under 10 minutes.
Wow. Before Mike's post, we've really been having a dry spell of posts. btw Mike, you are a busy busy busy busy man.
So Homecoming was pretty sweet this year despite the senior class' epic losses to the Juniors and Sophomores in hallway and float respectively. I guess I really enjoyed the dance for once since they didn't just play rap music the entire time. It's got me in a crazy mood right now. Ever since I left the PAHS gym, I've been listening to dance/rave/house music the entire time. Homecoming is always a welcome break from schoolwork and a chance to have fun. It's too bad more people didn't come to the Chinese Stooges' "shady afterparty." It would have been so much more fun if we had more people.
I've promised people I would post this video I've been talking about for ages, so here it is: british punch
Here are some more post fillers:

O'Reilly at his best
With all this cold weather, maybe you can save some money on kleenex...
Hey, let's D.A.N.C.E.
What? O you want to do that one more time?
Well, let me think about it.
Wooh! Alright-Yeah
How about you follow me overseas, to destinations unknown?
Alright, I'm off. Farewell.
...there hasn't really been much updating going on around here.
I would give you a deep, enriching piece of writing, but I just simply do not have the time. Instead I'll just mention that LHC chilling overseas and also provide a few possibly related articles. The rest is up to you :D
The man.
The weapon.
The beginning?
So I'm sure you've all seen the classic free hugs video showing the general insecurities of the public nowadays and lots of other deep shit you smart kids can figure out yourselves. It's also just a real feel-good video. Or maybe you're familiar with the video for Everyday by the Dave Matthews Band. You got that all down? Word.
Well there is a video contest online and the Chinese Stooges got together and made a short film inspired by those two videos. Well it pretty much is just a music video for Everyday made by us. So here it is. We have to get a lot of views, so watch it, spread it around to all your friends and stuff. It is also totally family friendly [unlike some of our other stuff...] so don't fret. Don't let our hard work be in vain!* Go! Go! Go!
*Although, getting hugs at the beach from some cute girls** was not a bad payoff...

Sooooo I might be going to NYC this Thursday. Meaning I will be taking a bus at midnight Wednesday [well technically Thursday morning] and riding all the way there. Sooooo. Who else wants to come? :D
Opening ceremony was awwwwweeesome.
Got a bit dull towards the end.
It was also kind of ridiculous how the Chinese singer was totally under-dressed to represent his entire country before the entire world. He work some grey pants and fucking black t-shirt. Just a plain black t-shirt. Maybe I could forgive him a little bit if it had a collar, but that was ridiculous.
Well either way, looks like China is in the spotlight. That opening ceremony truly was awesome. Best one evar? Possibly.
Anyone watch the March of Nations?
That was great.
Sucks that Taiwan was only repping with their Olympic flag :(
Also.
Best fail ever.
On international television.
China is the last one to walk.
Yao Ming leads his country with the Chinese flag in his hands. He waves with his hands the bright, blazing pride of the mainland Chinese people. A shining icon of his country. Beside him walks a 9 year old. Survivor of the devastating earthquakes that destroyed an elementary school. The boy has a great story. He managed to survive and escape from the rubble. After he reached safety, he went right back in and saved two more of his classmates. Why? Because he was the class leader. It was his duty. Another person the Chinese can proudly stand behind. He holds two flags in his hands. A small Chinese flag and Olympic flag. Just one thing.
About the Chinese flag.
What about it?
IT IS ATTACHED TO THE POLE UPSIDE DOWN.
O how I wish I had a picture.
Man.
Someone is going to be in trouuuuuuuuuuble.
I really want to hear the story behind that one.
Maybe the little boy is secretly a Chinese rebel and swapped the flag right before they went out. A declaration of war against the Chinese government broadcast throughout the entire world. It was his rebel faction giving Hu Jintao the finger in front of the world.
What an exciting story that would be.
Regardless of whatever.
Taiwan ftw.
Ok. First off, this is for a bet, who knows what Double Dragon is?
Also, gooood dealio here. I don't have a version of windows installed yet so I can't get it D: So here's the deal Bioshock on steam for $15. O how I wish I could get it :( If someone gets it and copies for me.... :D
Also, can someone help me with finding a good version of XP/Vista to install with parallels on my mac? David? I keep finding ones that require you to already have windows...
Turritopsis Nutricula. It can live forever. It is an organically immortal organism. Natural death is not a possibility. It doesn't even need the unlimited whatever chains that would theoretically be needed for physical immortality. Instead, it lives forever by reverting back to its sexually immature state after some time in its mature state. Insannnne. If you don't trust wiki, google it.
This is more a post for the sake of posts. So I will leave you with one more random tidbit of fun. Greg and I are working on a song dedicated to Mr. Surace and sung to the tune of "Hands Down" by the wondrous Dashboard Confessional, also known as the irresistible Chris Carrabba. *swoon* Anyways. We are gonna need some buddies to help us. We don't have anything planned yet, but I am thinking that a whole bunch of Surace fans should meet up somewhere and brainstorm on this, k? Then we need to get a bunch of people to perform it with us :D. Also, anyone who wants to play a 2nd guitar part and wants to tab that part out can do that too. I can't find any good tabs for the 2nd guitar in the acoustic version. Would be great if we could have 2 guitars. It really adds a nice touch to the song. Especially in the chorus. Alright. Let's do this!
SO HOW ARE THOSE AP SCORES!?!?!?

Btw Greg you don't owe me $30, just $23.
I don't know about you, but
I've been
pretty fucking
bored.
I've honestly run out of things to do on the internet.
Not so much that there is literally nothing left to do,
but instead there is nothing I bloody want to do.
I am tired
of looking at clothes
Digg still bores me
The good webcomics hardly update
Too lazy to watch anime
Manga comes out only once a week - takes about 5 minutes to read
I am home too much for any blogs I read to entertain me for long. I am at the point where there is only one new post for me to read every time I check. Boing boing, destructoid, we make money not art, etc.
In a nutshell: I am bored as fuck.
Although,
every eon or so, I stumble upon something interesting. So, just in case you guys were suffering like me, maybe this fun little thing will help.
To be honest, it's the only thing that's kept me entertained for more than 20 minutes today.
I tried all sorts of things:
hublog/Hublog/HuBlog = bloody
AVA = gay
Blink = unfit :(
blink = idiot D:
btd = odd
My favorite is:
Gatsby = Bloody.
Anyways.
Have fun.
Also, for those still lurking around hublog/theblacktop nowadays. You never really answered my question: What kind of deodorant do homosexuals wear?
So I thought it was about time for a new post. This is because this is probably the first day all summer I have not left my house and allowed boredom to consume my soul. So I shall provide a post of the great things the internet has to offer to battle this summer boredom.
First, I present to you a video that is the product of all the fun and wit found in the International Baccalaureate program. IB 300
Damn I hope Latin convention is this fun. I would love to battle those kids from TJ.
The internet provides everyone with endless amounts of entertainment in every form possible. Funny videos, blogs, news, funny pictures, cartoons, and of course prawn.
btw that's salmon hentai. Hentai being anime/manga porn and salmon being a common name for several species of fish of the family Salmonidae and is enjoyed by many for nourishment. Or hentai if you're Japanese.
Don't worry. It's SFW. It's probably not what you think it is. It is definitely nothing like Japanese eel porn.
Wow. I swear, there has to be a hardcore underground league for this kind of thing.
Weeeeeeeee.
In the butt.
Is it just me or can you imagine Anthony Nobles behind the camera too?
This video starts a bit slow, but then it just gets better and better.
Hey quick little question here:
What kind of deodorant do homosexuals wear? Do gay guys wear perfume? Do lesbians wear AXE? Or is it still the same?
And for the big finish:
What's more expensive, this or a reusable girlfriend?
Btw. I found that link through a completely innocent process. I swear.
Anyone else remember thlinking?
I've told some of you about this already, but for those of you who have not yet caught word of the lioncash revolution, here is more info. LIONCASH! Grab a sharpie and join in the festivities.
Itachi. What a moving story :'(
Psh, like I'm going to delete my 70 Gigs for anyone.
What makes this site even funnier is that it's serious.
Also, apparently there's a place in Georgia called Lebanon?
Also doesn't help that both countries are pretty close to each other either.
For those KLMS Exploreres, consider this: Doesn't Mr. Surace remind you a whole lot of Mr. Borgerding? They both even look a bit alike. They both have similar things about their personalities. Crazy.
Time for an upgrade.
Holy shit.
I'm surprised he isn't singing it out of his ass.
I was watching TV today and saw some pretty cool stuff about Las Vegas. I also decided that if school doesn't work out for me, I'm going to be a flair bartender. FUCK. YES.
I would not want to see what happens with HCL.
Interesting concept, but I think so much more could have been done with it. Then again, this is coming from a guy barely making a D in chemistry.
Death of Seasons - AFI
"I decay" = idk?
Bulgaria seems like the right place for Parth.
Mmm Petra Nemcova?
Hell yes.
Had to prove a point to Janki. What is that point? Irrelevant.
In my haste and state of pure ecstasy, I mistook some information. Recently I discovered that the 2008 Daft Punk tour was just a rumor. Also it's been confirmed as "not happening." D:
Read it wrong. :\ I got it mixed up when I read 2008 tour info and old 2007 info together. :\ So no tour this year :(. Daft Punk also does not like to tour often. I see their next tour happening maybe when they release a new album or in 4-5 years. :'( Apparently, the 2007 tour is also the final tour in which they are using their epic pyramid. So what is this pyramid? Refer to here. You can see they have the giant light array set up behind them, the light array in the web pattern on the sides, and the pyramid itself lights up well. I don't think it's possible to find one video that shows it off all the awesomeness of the Daft Punk pyramid and friends. If you really want to see more, just watch the whole playlist where that above link is from. Someone compiled a bunch of fan recorded video and put the CD audio over it. Also, asides from the awesome pyramid, they have light up suits [I also have to say, Kanye is looking pretty fly with those glow in the dark shades and lit up jacket], and then they have their helmets. Kickass.
So no concert anytime soon. Either way, a road trip is still a bitchin ass fuck idea.
So let me _____.
I told some of you about this ridiculous song already, but if you don't know about it, dare to click that blank space. The lyrics and concept are completely just wtf.
Kind of catchy though.
I found this link lying around on my computer.
Karpov! KARPOV!!!
Also lying around on my computer were plans for a Ring Dance post. Never got around to it as you can see. I kind of wish I did though, I had the most bitching title for it: "A Debilitating Case of RD."
I scrapped it though, but in summary I just wanted to say: Damn, a lot has changed since homecoming.
Also had some more Hollister Adventures content which I will supply after exams. Also my epic adventure at Barnes and Noble, which includes my encounter with the coolest woman I have ever met.
Nothing new to really report.
Recently I saw on the news a thing about open marriages. There was a specific married couple that was featured. Funny thing is, the wife's name is Kamala.
I was watching the new episodes of The Office and I witnessed something amazing. Michael [or maybe even Steve Carell himself] has the same phone I do :O!!!!
Nice.
Well, I shall end my stale post with a quote from one of my favorite songs.
Just you wait and see
As school life is a
It is a woken dream
That gives us all something to look forward to doesn't it?
After I arrived home on Thursday, I have to say, my hand was craaaaamped. I hate writing with those damn erasable pens. The way they work goes 100% against how I write. Anyways. It's a good thing I don't do anything important with my right hand except for write. If you know what I mean.
Guitar would be a pain in the ass if I played lefty.
So I don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but it is craaaazy. Scientists have completely broken down and analyzed the DNA structure of the platypus.
Yes, the platypus.
Indeed, it is just as crazy as the creature itself.
In other news, there's been a new trailer released for The Dark Knight. It's really good. See it here.
And just for fun, the creative process of the great John Mayer.
Sooo Iron Man.
That movie is so win. Even the second time I watched it.
I won't give a long winded review. In essence it was good. Good in every aspect. It was faithful for the comic fans. It was entertaining for the rest. Good stuff. Very funny too.
I do have to say though, I am soooooo glad Marvel has taken things into their own hands and is making their own movies. Marvel is now in charge of making their own movies, which is great. This means we won't be having anymore of The Hulk, Daredevil and Spiderman 3's on our hands. That new Hulk remake [of the remake a few years ago?] looks great. And also because of this, they won't totally just forget about canon [Ahem, Spiderman 3] and they will go with the more comic-y side of things. Also, this means they are making the Captain America and Thor movies annnnnnd THAT means THEY WILL ALSO BE IN CHARGE OF THE AVENGERS MOVIE WHICH WILL STAR ALL THE ORIGINAL CASTS OF EACH RESPECTIVE MOVIE AND WON'T BLOW ASS. Yes. I am excited. When I heard "S.H.I.E.L.D." familiarity ran through my mind, then when Samuel Jackson [NICK FURY] came on and I won't say anymore. Stay after the credits if you care like meeeee.
My friend and I also have a theory that the Iron Man video game [PS3 version is rated lowest and has worst storyline, Nintendo iterations are apparently higher rated and have better plot and stuff] was purposely made to sabotage Sony in an act of revenge for Spiderman. Haha. Ok.
Anywaaays BATMAN DARK KNIGHT. JOKER AND TWO FACE. FUCK YES. HEATH LEDGER. FUCK YES.
That was my rant.
"WANTED: authors who will actually update."
Done.
You're welcome.
So I've been going around image threads and forums in order to pass the time at home. I found a thread where everyone just posted sad pictures and videos. So I watched some and then went around youtube and found some other great commercials.
Let's start off lightly. This one's touching, but it's also pretty funny.
Roofing.
This is just sad.
Pictures
This is touching.
Awwwww.
I don't really like how this one was done. I guess because they had to make it short. This is one of those "dose of reality" PSA's. It's intense. Not great, but still kind of sad. I give it a on a scale of T-T to :D, I give it a :[
Speeding.
Not a commercial. Nice old poem.
Beau.
I couldn't find any more real good ones :\
I do have a bunch of really sad pictures on my computer though, but I don't know how to post them on here...
I'll ask David if I can upload them here and just link them.
Next post, sad pictures!
Aaaaand I leave you with this.
Hey. Surat should be in town.

Finally, you can experience this without getting in trouble.
So I guess everyone's doing pretty well on their 2nd Surace IA?
Fun stuff eh?
I just hope I don't end up staying up till three then find out that I can't save the document then I also can't print from my computer so we use this brand new printer we bought recently and install it on my laptop and hope it doesn't require me to restart the computer in order to fully install.
Yeah.
Let's hope that doesn't happen this time.
I stumbled upon this funny little site a few days ago. I'm sure you'll like it.
Now I know Jessica Alba's measurements. Mmm.
A Whole New World
Falsetto. Awesome. Facial expression. Priceless.
This man is 2 in one.
Just 1
I'm totally going to learn this for a recital or something. Sans the string breaking.
Beck
So I decided to check out some more new anime. This time a music based anime, Beck. I have to say. It's pretty freaking awesome. Not the best, but pretty damn good. It did have a few problems that stood out to me, but they didn't do much to change my opinion of it too much. One of the major problems IMO was the character development. There was some, but not enough. And a 26 episode length is no excuse for lack of sufficient development because there are plenty of anime that are just as long and have much more depth. It's just that, you never seemed to really get to know the characters as well as you wanted. Some of the main characters could barely be characterized aside from "O yeah, he likes to get in fights and he's loud." Well anyways, still good stuff. Going along with this, there was something along the lines of a love story going on. It didn't get worked on enough. There is a whole period in the anime where it's pretty much nonexistent and you just keep thinking "Where's Maho?..." And the fate of the relationship is not very clear, which isn't really bad but you aren't really left with enough CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT to know whether or not the girl really likes the guy or not. Well another gripe I had was the engrish. This was hardcore, full-on, beyond your parents, 200% Engrish. Some lines were OK? But they have some characters who have American backgrounds and... yeah, so those characters speak English a lot. Japanese voice actors using phonetic English = "Don't they know how is the situation???" [not actually a line from the anime, but really close to one that is] It was laughable. The grammar was good 75% of the time, but other times it was bleh and stuff. And the actual voice acting with inflections in bad places and the seriousness of the tone made the English parts bleh. Too make it worse, one of the main characters talks with this... I dunno how to say it... John Matos. Like that. Got that sound in your mind? Now imagine him with his tongue pierced. That's what it sounds like when that guy speaks English [which is like 50% of his dialogue, his japanese is still sounding good, but matosy]. But fret not, it's still worth the watch, it doesn't really detract from the anime at all [then again, you could always watch the English dub, which apparently isn't too bad, but I don't recommend it, more on that later.]
So those are my complaints, here are my praises. It is a music anime, and a damn good one. The music in it is all pretty good IMO, but with one problem. There definitely wasn't enough. You hear "Mooooonlight sway" like 2-3 times every episode. It's a good song and all, but c'mon, you can come up with more than that. I think they even worked with The Pillows some? That should count for something. I'm not sure on the details considering I can't read Japanese. Well anyways, one of their songs does appear in the anime for a short while. Also they have the Beat Crusaders for their OP song. Good song, but Engrish indeed. Beat Crusaders are notorious for Engrish songs. See: Fig. A [They also did the Kappa Mikey opening if you guys are familiar with that show on Nickelodeon] Good music. Bad English.
So the music in the anime is pretty good in my opinion. I especially like their cover of "I've Got a Feeling" by The Beatles. To be honest, I like this version better than the original. It's just got this emotion to it that the original doesn't [and also a kick ass bass and electric guitar part] despite the Engrish. [You can accuse me of blasphemy after you see this] About Koyuki's singing. Don't watch the English dub of the anime because of this very reason. I was watching the English cover of "I've Got a Feeling" and I just have to say. Can't compare. Also, as you watch the video, you will also notice that the animators at least tried to make the people look like they were playing their instruments. That's always a plus in my book.
So overall: Good stuff. Get over the Engrish and lack of depth in any character despite Koyuki and you'll enjoy it.
And here's that opening song, by the always great Beat Crusaders
[/Anime review]
I was wondering, there's a certain theme in the Star Wars theme/medley/whatevertuneeveryoneknowplaysattheendduringthecredits that caught my attention. Isn't it also used in the Super Smash Bros. theme? Just wondering.
Fap.
The ending is great. The rest of the it isn't that great. Just watch 1:33 and on.
Reminds me a lot of Latin class.
And Parth.
Chomp.
There isn't much good info on that site so I'll give you a rundown of what it is.
So. It's a rape prevention device.
A woman takes it and inserts it into her vagina
so that when a man tries to force himself in her he gets caught in it.
And by "getting caught in it" I mean HIS PENIS IS ENTOMBED IN A TUBE OF BARBS.
BARBS. FUCKING BARBS. That HAVE to be surgically removed.
Don't get me wrong, but rape is a terrible thing. It's just that, only by merely reading the description I wince in pain. Also, wouldn't that just piss off the rapist and cause him to become more violent?
Well according to the always wonderful FAQ section, which makes a great point: "...the huge plus-factor is that the discomfort and pain is such, that the rapist would be disabled temporarily, (much worse than a kick in the groin that self-defence instructors teach women!)" Yes. Emphasis on the words much worse
Well, I'm glad there is something out there to prevent rape.
My only hope is that a woman using this thing doesn't forget to take it out for any consensual action.
Ouch.
Rapestop + (alcohol or passion) - memory = poor guy in a hospital.
After some nostalgic references to Group X, the 5th avocado, and ABS in general, I decided to revisit the site. I re-watched all my favorite Group X videos:
Funny or Die] Well who knows :\.
Well the video for the song was made in 2004, and so is Anchorman... interesting. No clue about the actual song though :\
Another popular favorite from ABS, the aforementioned The 5th Avocado.
Matt loves that one.
If you liked the randomness of that, then you also may enjoy Forehead shavecut.
Have free time? Maybe you should check out the epicness of the Harper Lee classic, To Kill a Mockingbird.
I give that report an A for literary devices.
Have lots of free time? Something around 33 minutes? Then you should check out the timeless classic, The Demented Cartoon Movie. And no, I wasn't lying about that 33 minutes.

Hollister adventures: chapter 1.
3/02/08
So my first day of work was Sunday. Not much happened. Pretty easy/simple job, but I have to say, folding those girl clothes is hard. The fabric is so soft and thin that it just goes everywhere when you try and fold it. Fitting room duty is pretty easy. Dull, but not extremely boring. Not bad meeting lots of random girls. Ha.
Nothing really exciting to report, except for that while on fitting room duty, I saw this one girl who also works at Hollister [she was at orientation with me] with a friend. I just have to say: I would love to become more acquainted with that friend. She even came into the fitting room twice :D. Of course, being new and timid I didn't really do anything except be real nice. O that smile. Anyways. Retrospect is 20/20 right? Well when she came back the 2nd time, she asked me if I had found a belt in the fitting room. I had not seen one so :\. Well then I take her to a fitting room. I probably should have taken her to the one she went to the first time... Well anyways, that wouldn't have worked with this ingenious plan. Assuming that this would have worked, assume how freaking pimp it would have been if I told her to give me her name and phone number so that if I found it later I could call her? Gets better. I found the belt later, but by the time I stumbled upon it, she was long gone. Still, if I had did that phone number thing. How freaking awesome would that have been. "I found your belt." "O thanks, I'm still at the mall blah blah" "Alright. Hey, Whitney, I'm taking my food break." Word. Too bad I was too nervous to do anything. Just the environment and the fact that it was my first day at work. Crazy. Well I hope I make some friends there soon and things become less awkward and boring. Then I can have some people to talk to and stuff. Btw, I found out that the asian girl is 20, dated her bf since they were 14, and they just got married like last month. Cute. Anyways. The best part of Sunday I have to say is when it was perfectly demonstrated that you can never fucking tell who works there. First of all, I'm new so I guess so there's a good reason, but also in the small, dark rooms, it's hard to tell from a distance who's who, who's where, etc. Well anyways, near the end of the day, I was going around straightening out clothes and then this girl walks up to me and says "Excuse me, but, you work here right?" I almost burst out in laughter, but instead I just simply said "... Yes..." and she said "O, neeevermind then."
Sorry, Nik, but I didn't see Aubriel. :\
End.
You are a prisoner
You can't change your fate
But can you change your mind?
O Triiiiaangle.
"Epic Flash" indeed.
Rap nowadays has a 99% chance of sucking. If I were to make a chart of all the rap songs that are "fresh" at the moment, there is a 99.9% chance that if I threw a dart at said chart I would hit a shitty song. Anyways, here's the good shit. 90's is where it's at. And also before that. I prefer to call this good stuff "Hip-Hop."
California Love - Gotta love Tupac. And mmm, the good ol' talk box. T-Pain doesn't have shit on this.
Mo' Money Mo' Problems
Sure Shot
Pen and Teller ftw. It's tricky.
And I guess this isn't 90's or before, but who can deny Mase's awesomeness?
Chaaarlie!
British kids ftw.
DUDE.
But how does it taste?
This is stuff grown men cry over, baaaybaaaay. It's a good watch, so kick back and get out those oreo cookies while you watch this.

I had some random post material stored up for a while so this is going to be a big one.
Enjoy.
I think that the writer's strike had something to do with it, but a lot of movies that were announced quite a while ago have taken forever to be released. Like Jumper. Man I wanted to see that so bad when the trailer first came out. When it finally came out I just ejaculated [metaphorically]. [btw it was a good movie. Don't listen to David, he's crazy.] Also I think Charlie Bartlett has been released? I've waited so long for that movie. We even got some preview tickets for the film a couple of months ago [before thanksgiving], but I couldn't go :(. After 4 months, it's finally out! Also, Be Kind Rewind is also out. Man. Mos Def and Jack Black? That's epic. I am so stoked. Death at a Funeral is finally coming out on DVD. Along with the aforementioned films, this is like passionately making out with Jessica Alba and Megan Fox comes in and asks to join. First you look at your partner and see if it's ok. She smiles. "Hell yes." she says. Then while the three of you are wrestling around in your underwear, Heidi Klum comes in [without Seal. Dear God, no.] and everything stops for a moment. Silence. A moment later, without a single spoken word, it's agreed. She's coming in. Yeah, it's just like that. Man, just thinking about these movies is getting me aroused.
Yeah, I like movies.
No clue if I've ever posted this before.
Either way, it's an old classic tune. A personal favorite of Andrew Lampella and me.
The Pirate Song.
I started getting into the song again after I got Microsoft Office for my mac.
At a discounted price.
I hope my child will be this talented at this age.
Heyyyy Juuuuuuude
With more free time on my hands [and lower homework grades] I've been getting back into Anime and stuff. I've been checking out some newer and more recent series that I've been wanting to check out. One of these series is Elfen Lied [title's based off a German poem of the same name]. It was pretty kick ass. It's only a short, 13 episode long series [:(] but it's a good one. Aside from Nik, I doubt anyone here is too into anime, but if you are ever curious, I would recommend you check it out. At your own risk. It's pretty violent. Lots of blood. Lots of dying. Nudity. Not for the faint of heart. Especially if you get attached to characters easily. Not a good idea. A lot of them die. Either way, it's great. It's hard to pinpoint a genre for it since it has major characteristics of so many different anime genres. I would say it's something like a mix of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Love Hina/Ah! My Goddess, AKIRA, and something like Wolf's Rain. Know what I mean? No? Well in laymen terms it's something like a mix of AWESOME with AWESOME with a side of AWESOME and AWESOME for dessert. If you like crazy action. Check it out. If you like harem anime. Check it out. If you like crazy psychological stuff. Check it out. If you like naked anime chicks. Check it out. Also, if you like the artwork of Klimt. Check it out. The opening and closing sequences are great tributes to his art.
Speaking of great anime, I previously mentioned Akira. Never seen it?
You should. It's classic. Fo sho. Or if this follows through you could check out the most-likely shitty remake. A live action remake.
Blasphemy.
Everyone knows you can't make anime live action without it looking blah [unless it's Deathnote, the live action remake was pretty good and it had RHCP so it's all good]. PROOF
That is, unless there are professional models involved. Indeed.
Haha. Sorry, Nik. Here's something to make up for it :D
Well, speaking of Death Note, the 2nd set of opening and closing sequences were accompanied by the music of a Japanese band called Maximum the Hormone. No lie.
On a separate note, the Dropkick Murphys are having a US tour coming up soon. Well, Maximum the Hormone is touring with Dropkick Murphys. Carazay. Awesome. But Carazay. Not only because they are a Japanese rock band touring America with a well known band [this actually happens often], but if you click the link and watch their music video, you'll see why it's carazay. Crazy genre difference. Whatever genre MtH is. But I guess there are people out there like me who like to listen to both bands.
If you like them, here's one of my favorite songs by them chu chu lovely muni muni mura mura purin purin boron nururu rero rero <- yeah, that's the song title.
Speaking of Japanese music, I just had to share this with you guys. The opening sequence to one of my favorite anime series. Hellsing. Gotta love that piano and the gibberish lyrics. Gotta give credit to the Hellsing OST composer Yasushi Ishii. That anime has some good music.
Speaking of Japanese composers,
Nobou Uematsu ftw.
Nuff said.
Electroplankton + iPhones. Pretty cool. Although near the end/halfway through it 1) kind of loses novelty [ie - gets boring/annoying] 2) loses rhythm [apparently no one can count.]
And if you haven't heard already,
Yeah, I got the job at Hollister.
So everyone can get the "OMGDISCOUNTS" out of their system now.
Bass.
Basss.
Bassssss.
YES! BIG BANG IS BACK!
B to the I to the Bang Bang!
B to the I to the Bang Bang!
Man. That song kicks ass.
And the guy in the video.
Fucking pimp.
Sorry, but I love you, ko-rean ko-re-an!
Are you ready? Everybody stand up aweraweraw ichiban awerlawer speed hunter. Heaewraewkjl heroes come back, everybody make some noise!
Bikinis. Lots of them. On Asian chicks. With water. Lots of it. Nuff said.
Go! with the FLOW
Yeah, I've been listening to a lot of Asian music again. Especially Big Bang [Last Farewell ftw]. Good stuff. Probably even better if I could understand it, but lyrics be damned, these songs are awesome without even knowing what they're saying. Totally different from what we have here. I remember reading part of a study a while ago that said that the natural rhythms in language greatly affect the how songs are written in different cultures, which is why J-Pop is J-Pop and... Ameri-pop is Ameri-pop. Interesting stuff.
...and just for kicks.

Well, the epic black card videos are up on facebook now. Now you can witness the pain we experienced with this game here and here. Enjoy. Quick warning though. You might want to turn down the volume due to foul language, loud explosions, nasty sounds, and our stupidity.
For those of you pious little angels that gave up Facebook, here are two highlights uploaded onto youtube. You're welcome. :D
BOOM!
Mmmmmm... [Watch Alex Ung in this one]
Same aforementioned warnings apply to these videos too.
So I've been messing around with my new macbook and have been catching up with the happenings of the internets. When visiting collegehumor I came across a trailer for what seems like another great comedy featuring many of my favorite actors. Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Wiki says April 18th for release date. [btw that's the same date THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM is scheduled for release, which btw stars Jackie Chan AND Jet Li. Hell. Yes. TFK]
While reacquainting myself with the internets, people began to start going crazy about those "gossip blogs" or whatever you would like to call them. I'm surprised how quickly they were taken down after Mrs. Cox's words. I thought that they would last at least a while longer since it seemed like it was built on a strength in numbers kind of basis, a "one of is isn't as powerful as all of us" kind of thing. I guess not. Someone is worried about their IB diploma. Well, I'm just surprised it died so quickly.
Well.
What's done is done.
So how has your weekend been?
I know mine has been pretty fun.
And painful.
On Saturday, I went to watch Strange Wilderness with Antonio, Eric & Alex Ma, Alex Ung, and Mike Chen. Pretty good movie. Just ask Eric Ma or Antonio, because they saw it with me. The other three got caught for trying to sneak into a Rated R film. Haha. They had to go watch Meet the Spartans instead.
Well afterwards we went to Antonio's Uncle's house, AKA our hangout, and played lots of Wii. [That wii Naruto game is kick ass.] Well after we tired out our wrists we decided to cool off with a fun game. We played the black card game or something. It's name isn't the important thing, it's the game itself. There are 6 cards, one for each of us and all of them are face cards aside from one, which is a joker. This joker is of course the "black card." Well we all draw cards and whoever draws the joker has to undergo the punishment prescribed for that round. Yeah, we're retarded. Let me list some of the things we drew cards for: Slap in the face from everybody, slap in the back from everyone, eat wasabi rolls x2,x3, walk on pinecones barefoot, flour cannon.
We did the wasabi rolls the most because we had 12 pieces. Antonio got the worst of it because he ended up drawing the card for it twice, once for 3 pieces, and once for 2 pieces [but we were merciful and let him settle with 1]. In the end it didn't matter since we all tried one. Note to everyone in the world: DON'T EVER EAT A WASABI ROLL. O my god. It's a fucking terrible experience. I tried covering it with ginger and soaking it in soy sauce, and trust me, it DOESN'T DO SHIT TO HELP. Let me try and describe hell in words. Well you first put it in your mouth and chew around a bit. It's not bad, maybe 2-3 bites in you start feeling it burn a little and you get that intense feeling in your nose. That's when things start going straight downhill. It burns a little, then your nasal cavity becomes a fucking inferno. That's when you start screaming out for help. But no one can hear you over the sushi in your mouth. Then during your panic you begin to think "O GOD WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS!!! I WAS ONLY OFFERING THAT CHILD SOME CANDY!!!!" Well after you have abandoned supernatural help, you start thinking of a way to get out of this yourself. You start thinking, "All this pain is coming from this wasabi. The more I have in my mouth, the more it hurts. How can I get rid of it without spitting it out...?" That's where you come to the logical conclusion: swallow it. With a determined look on your face, you try to ignore the pain and focus on trying to swallow the wretched substance in your mouth. You close your eyes and swallow. BIG MISTAKE. Once the first chunk of wasabi hits the back of your throat, an unexplainable pain hits you. It's somewhat like a combination between gagging and having a knife covered in tabasco sauce stab you in the throat. When that first gagging spasm moves your body, another one follows, then you desperately try to get the wasabi out of your throat. Nothing helps. What do you do now? Your instincts kick in and you find something to drink. [When in this stage don't ever go for Capri Sun, trust me. The straw is far from big enough, and the tiny drops of juice flowing into your mouth are more mocking of your pain than helpful.] Well as you start drinking whatever liquids you can find you'll soon find out that, much like the soy sauce, it hardly does anything to help, if not make it worse [ask Ung]. Well your only option now is to persevere until the end. Chewing, swallowing, gagging, and dying. Then when you finish, that gag reflex remains. In the end, your throat and stomach feel absolutely terrible. And the after party isn't so great either. And if you're Antonio, you throw up. In conclusion: from beginning to end, wasabi rolls belong on a level of damnation close to that of Furbies.
Also, did I mention it tastes like shit?
Well we got video of all our escapades and they'll be uploaded to the Chinese Stooges group on Facebook soon. Great footage. You can see all the wasabi consumption and pain we went through. You can also see what is probably the best footage we have ever taken: the video of Alex Ma being hit by the flour cannon [which is our Potato Cannon loaded up with flour wrapped in tissue paper]. Trust me, that footage is great.
On a more pleasant note [well for some people] Valentine's Day is on the horizon.
A time of romance, young love, oil, cream, and latex consumption, and capitalism. It's a time of happiness and glee. It's a day of great times, but also bad decisions. You really have to be careful what you do. When you young ones are all out there on Valentine's day, forn copu fu having a great time, remember this one thing: Save a tree. Swallow. Don't let your carelessness lead to homelessness for the forest creatures.
I'm elated.
It's beautiful.
I'm almost afraid to touch or move it.
Great though.
Although it gets kinda loud :\
:D
well... now for FIOP... :(
Wow. It's been a while hasn't it? Well to whet your appetites, I am making a real short post. My macbook should come in tomorrow afternoon [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!], so then I will have a computer again where I can do stuff. So yeah.
Well today we went to the Pagoda in Norfolk to perform zither for this Chinese New Year-ish dinner thing. Seemed pretty fancy. We had to play a one hour set. A lot more fun than I expected. A great experience. A lot of the people there really enjoyed our music and were just really nice overall. And also we got lots of free food and we're getting paid for this. Well anyways the good part comes in later, when we finished packing up the zithers and we were eating, the next part of the entertainment for the night started. Belly dancing. Hell yes. Well I believe that's what it was, with all the undulating motions, gyrating hips, exposed midriffs, occasional winks. I just have to say this now. That girl was not too bad at dancing. And not too bad looking. But the best part of the performance was that my friend Bexely was sitting in a chair and I was standing behind him, and what ended up happening was that she just started dancing up on him and bumping him off the chair. And Bexely makes some hilarious awkward faces. Made my day. She also danced near this one dude and he gave her the eyebrows. Bow chika wow wow. Another great part was Jeanette [the crazy 10 year old] said to her "You're really flexible" and then she winked at Jeanette. Good stuff.
Well. You just had to be there. Ask me about it and I'll tell you more. And sorry Nik, and all you other guys, I didn't get any pictures :\ Too busy eating. In fact, in almost every picture people took of her, you can probably see me eating. Seriously.
So my computer's been out of commission for a while, and my sister left so all that remains is the family computer, which is almost always being used by my dear father. Maybe my copmuter will be fixed in a week or two. Then I can get back on AIM [not on my phone] and facebooking.
Anyways. Got my wisdom teeth excised today. Not that bad. I've always been afraid of any form of surgery, but I was surprised how unafraid I was when I went in. Also, dude, laughing gas is crazy. Man. After sticking in the IV, before I knew it, I had my jacket on again and my parents were in the room. It was weird. I also have to say, moving around was a toughy. Well I get loads of pain meds stocked up to make up for my condition :D. A lot of pain meds. Doubt I'll use much though. If any of you guys have some extra cash on you though... ;)
Well about Monday. No school. As a part birthday/study session/ pre-exam awesomeness people can come to my house. Just to hang out. It's also my birthday so my mom is just inviting some asian friends of ours too. Not so sure about times. Maybe 1-4 ish or something? Someone bring Guitar Hero. Also, concerning my brithday, since it's exams this week, I discussed with my mom and we decided that I could have like a real party next monday or something. This monday is more along the lines of humble get-together. So yeah. Alright. Next week would be more of a party or gotothemallandwatchCLOVERFIELD.
Speaking of movies. Anyone seen previews for The Eye? Jessica Alba ftw, but I fear that may be the only redeeming quality for this asian horror movie remake. Why must white people keep remaking great asian horror movies? I should change that to "ruining." American bastardizations of classics. The Ring. Japanese version > US. US version was not bad though. One Missed Call, great movie. US version... not so much. The Eye. I doooouuuubt it. Anyways, just needed to say that.
Speaking of Japan. So David, you up for Japan week? Machine Girl? Monster Vaginas? Human Tetris?
Hey, Janki.
You did NOT just say that Cloverfield looks lame.

Hi.
I'm Eric.
And I'm gay.
I am currently helping Jeanette with her 5th grade english homework. She is reading one of my fav books, The Giver. She told me about how they are also reading two other books that form a "loose trilogy" with The Giver, Messenger and Gathering Blue. She already read GB, and with a quick wiki search, I found out it's about some chick named Kira [DEATHNOTE]. Well if you don't remember, the star of TG is a boy named Jonas. Well anyways, while browsing through wikipedia, I looked up the page for Messenger, and it says:
"Characters from the two earlier books reappear in Messenger, linking the novels more strongly."You know what that means. It means Jonas is freaking alive. This angers me. One of my favorite parts about the original novel is that it had such a great open-ended conclusion to it. It was up to the reader to decide whether or not Jonas was alive or dead, and the fact that it was left unknown just made it a powerful ending. I also remember reading that Lois Lowry told readers that it was all up to their own interpretation. BUT THAT'S GONE NOW ISN'T IT. I personally thought that he survived and ended up in a new civilization, one like ours, but the fact that she actually makes that canon just meh's it up for me. Well alright. That's it.
Everything in life comes in shades of grey. It tends to complicate things. Making judgments and choosing sides becomes a difficult process. Opposing sides often share similarities. Every flaw comes with embellishments. Sometimes things to praise are things to disapprove of. There really is no right and wrong. There really is no black and white. Just shades of grey. When you choose to hate something, there is always something to like about it, which just spites you even more. What's worse is finding something you agree with in something you oppose.
Why can't I just choose to hate something and leave it at that?
My computer's fucking cooling system broke. When I start it up it tells me that I should turn it off immediately and take it in for repair. So now I am on my sister's computer. Fucking bullshit.
Yesterday we were driving on the highway in PA for an hour to go eat at this awesome buffet. Well. That's not really that important, it's what I saw. In the middle of nowhere, while on the highway, I saw something unbelievable. There was this huge sign and building for the University of Phoenix. Yes. It exists outside of the internet. Our questions have been answered. It's real. Well that's about it.
... Still no cheesesteak :(
Dora the Explorer promotes peer pressure.
She may also be an illegal immigrant. In whatever crazy land she lives in. Either that or she's a drug user. Along with Bob the Builder.
Skiing was pretty freaking awesome. The mountain we went to had a steep learning curve. The training slope was like 10 feet long, and had a slope of around 30 degrees. The very first actual slope [the easiest one] was like a mile long, freaking 80 degree incline, and sharp turns. It was insaaaaaaane. Ridiculous. But fun. The emotions I felt throughout the process of skiing went a bit like this. Cold -> Embarassment -> Fun -> Leaving training area -> fun -> sheer terror -> pain -> few hours later -> Super awesome fun. Steep learning curve, high pay off.
Still no cheese steak :(
Philadelphia is a city. Not a state. Now who ever thought it was a state? Well lots of people of course. I am just here to educate. :D
God, I blow hairy ass at geography.
So I am here now for a few days and we are going Snowboarding/skiing tomorrow. Kick ass. Pizza, french fry, pizza, french fry. If you don't do it right, you're gonna have a bad time.
On the way up here, I saw a sign in Delaware. A street sign. One of those diamond yellow ones. I am 100% serious about this. No lies. It said, in huge letters "DEAF CHILD." Is it bad that I laughed? Well that wasn't all. Not far after it, there was a similar sign, but instead a huge image of a kid running. Now a kid running isn't funny, but a silhouette of a west-wing looking kid next to a DEAF CHILD sign is. Now I don't know if it's good or bad that they have signs like this. I do know one thing though. It's damn hilarious.
...and no. I have not encountered any cheese steak yet.
So what are your views on whaling?
I'm all for it.
Or is that too violent? Eviscerating whales and whatnot?...
hmm, but think about that sweet, delicious oil...
Well, what about mashing potatoes?
Everyone can agree with that right?
If you don't get it, check the tags.
Expect a new post, real soon. Really soon.
This aforementioned post is going to be goluptious, trust me.
It's going to be awesome.
O dear god. If you google goluptious, it gives you a crapload of porn links. Well, goluptious = catawampus = delicious, so I guess it makes sense. Who knew the porn industry was so well read?
Hmmmm... I still need to do my "Dream Date" series and my "Ramen Review" series will start next week when my mom returns from Taiwan. I'll get around to these things later though. But look out for my next post.
Today should go down in history. I don't think I've ever finished a research paper before 10pm the day before it was due. Ever. This is awesome. It feels great. Plus, my paper is pretty good so I just might redeem myself in English. Although, I highly doubt it is nearly enough to bring my grade back to an A :(
Well, now I have to study for math and do euro hw.
:(
Adjust hublog settings to: FFAE13 for dramatic effect while reading this post.
Dude. This is hardcore. Guitar Hero 3 is going to be friggin' awesome.
So how was my Saturday you ask? Well here are some Saturday highlights:
First and foremost, #1: Across the Universe
I went to watch Across the Universe with my sister and her friends and I have to say, that movie is amazing. Not only does it feature totally awesome "Beatle-related compositions" but it is just a great movie in general. All the songs in the movie are by the Beatles of course, but they are all rearranged and such and sung by the cast members. [You can check some of the songs out via youtube.] Fret not though, the songs are not butchered or anything, they are just reworked to fit in more with the movie [like a couple are made more acoustic-y] and to incorporate all the singers. I mean, all the songs are still as good as the originals, and some people could argue better. Like there is a scene with Let it Be, and man, that was a tear jerker. I actually cried. That scene was really moving in my opinion. Usually I can hold back tears or just go to the brink of it, but that scene was too much. It was a masterfully combined force of music and visuals.
Anyways, the movie. Believe people when they say it is a trippy movie. I mean it is based in the Vietnam War era and it features songs like Strawberry Fields Forever. Seriously, what do you expect. Well, it's got a really great cast that really brings life to the characters. You really grow to like and feel for all the characters in the film. There is also a really strong theme of "Reality hurts and you can escape from reality, but any escape is temporary." The movie is not only deep but entertaining. Quite a bit of humor involved in the film. There are also a plethora of subtle/obscure Beatles references and allusions. [One of my favorites is with the character Max, and the references to Maxwell's Silver Hammer. It's merely references though, don't go into the theater expecting some serial killer with a sliver hammer.] There is a lot more to say about the movie, but I am in a rush to do my homework [:\] and you really just have to see the movie. It's like a beautiful painting, I can talk to you as much as I want about it, but nothing will compare to actually seeing it. Great music, great actors/singers, great plot. Go watch it. Plus, for the ladies, the lead male roles are apparently "cute"/"hawt." For the guys, Selma Hayek in a nurse outfit x5 [you'll see what I mean] and a boob. Alriiiiiiiiiiiight. Bow chicka bow wow.
For a more info and a pretty good list of those Beatles references, where else but wiki?
Here's a trailer:
trailer.
So, onto highlight #2: Transformers
I bought the Transformers movie in this really sweet kick ass tin collector's case. it's like the one they have for video games usually [see: FFXII special collector's edition] I don't see why they don't do it more for DVD's :\. Anyways. It's awesome. It has the Autobots logo on the front and it says PROTECT and it's just so shiny and beautimous. I mean, I don't even want to touch it, afraid that I may damage its beauty. It's like my Planet Earth DVD set, its just so nice that I am satisfied enough with just looking at the case. And yes, I have a CD/DVD fetish. I treat all my DVD's/CD's and their cases with the utmost care. Sucks for my LoveHina Best Collection CD though :(
O, and if you're wondering where that dramatic effect comes in. It doesn't. I'll incorporate the colors in a post sometime later though.
And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.
Hey Jude, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
So, as you all noticed, I didn't go to school yesterday. Why is that you ask? Well let me tell you. Last night, I stayed up till 3 doing homework and fell asleep while halfway through Act I Scene I of Merchant of Venice [yes, I still haven't quite read it yet]. Suddenly, my alarm goes off, so I get up, think to myself "shit. I'm screwed," turn my alarm off, then fall right back asleep. Then, the next thing I know, I wake up, the sun is up, and it's 11. Then I say "Why the hell am I still here?" While I begin contemplating this dilemma, I fall back asleep. Not long after, my sister [back from VCU] comes into my room and asks "Why the heck are you at home?" and I simply reply "I have no clue." So at around 12-ish I get up and realize that there's no point in going to school and then go to the DMV/Target/KFC/Wal-Mart with my sister. So the whole day I keep thinking "Why didn't I go to school? Dad wakes me up and drives me to the bus stop and it's not like he forgot. I also didn't say I was sick or anything. So hmmm..." So I narrowed it down to two possibilities. I was dead tired and could not be awakened, or that whilst barely-awake, I told my dad I wasn't feeling well and I forgot. [Yes, that happens. Once last year I woke up in the same situation, walked into my mom's room and asked her why I wasn't at school. She said I told her I wasn't feeling well and did not feel like I could go to school, so she let me stay home. I did not remember a bit of this. Apparently I am a pathological liar when I'm sleepy.] Well I got my answers when I got home and my dad was home from work. He just said he tried to wake me up but I was unresponsive. So yeah. Sorry I couldn't brighten up your boring A day yesterday :\ I know you all missed me :D
God loves Shrimp Chips
It's a bird!
It's a plane!
No, it's a servant of God!

How was my weekend you ask? Well I'll tell you, it was fucking awesome.
I went to VCU to with the Ma's to visit my sister and Antonio. Our friend Sherry was also present. Well hanging out around campus was pretty fun, and the cafeteria was fun. We had a lot of fun with tv's around campus and the Ninja Remote I bought; HOWEVER, the best part of the trip happened in the park. There is a park right in front of the dorms and lots of people go there on the weekends. A group of these people we saw there can only be described as total nerds. FREAKING AWESOME NERDS. I'll give you a taste of what we witnessed. Antonio, Eric Ma, and I stood on the sidewalk beside the park, and we watched these nerds in an epic battle. An epic battle of 10 pale and nerdy men and one black guy. With each man wielding a sturdy foam shield and an arsenal of green, blue, and red foam weapons, this battle for superiority raged on before us. Men rushed around in flashes of blue and red headbands, sword and shield clashed, and comrades fell. In the end, one man proudly put one foot upon his recently vanquished opponent and raised his sword in victory.
Then we clapped, and some guy asked us if we wanted to join in. We said "sure, alright."
So we walked under the tree over to our scrawny guide, ready to begin our glorious journey. A journey to achieve manhood. Our guide's glasses gleamed with glory and confidence as he instructed us our mission. He explained to us the heroic weaponry that lay before us, crafted by the most skilled of elves, forged from only the finest foam of the great dwarf mines, and thirsting for the blood of all standing in the way of its path to glory. We barely breathed as the wise one opened his mouth, releasing his wisdom, flowing from his mouth and into our ears. He said:
"Ok, well here's a green weapon, it's mainly for stabbing. You hit a limb, the person loses it, they put their arm behind their back or get down on one knee if they lose a leg. If they get hit in the body, they die. This can also be used as a throwing weapon. Alright, here's a blue weapon..."
Well, to simply things:
*Green - Small. Can be thrown. Like a dagger. Body hit = death. Hit in a limb = lose the limb.
*Blue - Like a sword. Hit a limb = lose the limb. 2(hit a limb) = death. Hit in the body = x_x.
*Red - Muthafucking huge weapon. One for each team. Get hit = pwned. y(x) = shield + x(hits), and y(2) = 0 + :(.
*Shield - A shield. What other explanation would you need?
We listened intently and absorbed every word spoken. Then he finished, and where apprentices once kneeled, warriors now stood. Reborn with our our shining shields in one hand and our weapons in the other, we charge off into battle.
[to be continued.... when you ask me about it in person, because after that, we played all this crazy stuff, and it's way too much to type up.]
I know, I know, it was that awesome. You can pick your jaw up off of the ground now, and pack away that jealousy too. Don't cry. Wipe away those tears, the story has not ended. The gallant heroes will continue on forever in our hearts.
Hey, I don't know if you guys know this yet, but Starlight is a fucking awesome song. So is Knights of Cydonia. Actually let me rephrase all that. MUSE FUCKING OWNS.
Is this all worth a entirely new post?
Judge that for yourself.
It couldn't wait.
I started this post the day before the Dashboard Confessional concert. This is just another one of those long posts with random things listed for your amusement.
Parth, I took a listen to that Red Hot Chili Peppers song. Kick ass. Well, almost everything by RHCP is kick ass. John Frusciante = fucking awesome. And same with everyone else in the band.
Anyways, about that Dashboard concert. There is a lot to talk about, but nothing that doesn't happen at other concerts, assholes that don't know how to give you any space, attractive females taking photographs of themselves, tall people standing in front of you, and people walking around with full cups of foamy inebriating substances. Putting those things aside, the concert was awesome, the whole experience was. Especially in the parking garage when everyone started honking their horns together. Freaking awesome. Now the concert itself, orgasmic. The only way the concert could have been any better is if Chris played more songs. Great stuff.
Speaking of Chris, I have officially decided that Chris Carrabba can read minds. It was really freaking scary. During the concert, there were several occasions of this. At one point, someone told him to play Vindicated. He pretty much responded with a "screw you, I'm playing whatever I want," and at that very moment, I thought "I guess he's only going to play b-sides" Guess what he said. "All I'm playing tonight is b-sides." Coincidence? I think not, read on. At another point in the show, he got out an electric guitar [telecaster? I forget.] and the spotlight was hitting it and reflecting off into the audience. When I saw that I was thinking "Ha, that's like Bono and U2." Guess what he said. "I feel like Bono with this huge spotlight." God damn. Plus, that's not all. For some reason, one of the songs made me think about Weezer, and I thought "Man, I feel like listening to some Weezer." Well, when he finishes up the song he was just playing he begins to introduce the next song. He says it's a cover of a song by a band he toured with once. Now which band was that? Fucking WEEZER. [El Scorcho]
Speaking of Weezer, I think it was Matt that was asking about this? Muppets + Weezer = magic.
Final word on the concert: Despite running into a couple of douchebags and losing faith in the secrecy of my mind's contents, it was pretty awesome. Not only was it enjoyable, it was also inspirational. I came up with the greatest idea in the world. I am going to invent a whammy bar for acoustic guitars.
Speaking of instruments...
Greatest drummer ever? Buddy Rich.
Want to argue with me? Show me someone else who can play this like Buddy Rich does. O wait. YOU CAN'T.
Speaking of drums...
I really need some money to get new heads for it or try and sell it and buy an entirely new set. So if anyone is interested. :D
Speaking of money...
T-SHIRT COMPANY. Well, we're all pretty busy, maybe we'll figure something out during the next break we have.
Speaking of t-shirts...

I always like to read through people's thoughts on lyrics sometimes. It really shows how far you can stretch things. Fun to read. You can also find the occasional Parth. The person who says stuff like "its beautiful. to take a word like stolen, which alone holds such a negative meaning...but when he almost 'whispers his words'--you have stolen my heart--- he shows how love is unique....in that such a common emotion, has such unique, overpowering qualities...love can both be liberating anc captivating. it can be both willing and unexpected..." [sic]
Beautiful.
Too bad it made almost no sense at all.
btw that was in a thread about Stolen by Dashboard Confessional.
Speaking about confessions...
I believe someone asked a question in the bloober a while back about the hottest extreme sports athlete. Well, I believe surfing counts?
I also believe Anastasia Ashley counts?
Speaking of counting...
This is pure genious.
I am totally going to propose like that.
Speaking of proposals...
This is not a link.
Mozart on electric bass. Not perfect, but fun to watch and listen to.
Speaking of literature...
Diagramming sentences: How would it ever help you in life?
Well I came up with a way. You know those scenarios people are thrown into in the Saw movies? Well what if you were stuck in one of those scenarios, and the only way to get out was by diagramming? Well, what would happen would be, the victim would be locked in a room and on a wall in the room is a sentence. The person finds the tape blah blah listens to it and finds out that he must diagram the sentence in order to get out. Easy so far right? Well this is where the fun begins, the person has a limited number of tries. How would you limit someone's tries? Well, we only have so many fingers and toes... The person has to cut off a digit and use it as a writing stick, and when they have completed their answer, they must throw their "writing stick" into a disposal thing for the man in control to check his answer. Yeah, I know, gruesome.
Speaking of pain...
You know, that would make a freaking great commercial promoting education. The screen starts off pitch black, then the lights kick in and its the aforementioned scenario, except you could probably change it up with a math problem or something. Then the tape would say like "Mr. Johnson, you always said school was useless... etc etc." Then the real fun would begin. Finally, at the end of the commercial, this Mr. Johnson submits his final try. The guy in charge checks it. WRONG. Then you hear the scary voice "Goodbye Mr. Johnson." and the whole screen goes pitch black and you hear the guy scream "NOOO!!" [a la Saw I Credits] and on the screen, the words "STAY IN SCHOOL." will appear.
Speaking of awesome...
Call him Dolphin Boy. Or Ben. Either one. Doug or Glenn, take your pick.
enjoy.
No wai. Yes. This is worth making a whole entire other post for.
Here it is, Chink in the Chain featuring Heidi.
It's like an orgy in your ears.
Hey.
Check it out.
video.
I kept forgetting to post it, but now I have.
Yeah, I know "wtf?"
Where is the focus?
Comes the death of the other.
Since school started, Hublog's slowed down. The bloober's still pretty active, but the posts and comments aren't doing so well. Surprise? Not really. School's time consuming :\
And it kind of sucks.
Dunno if I ever posted this before, but whatever.
I personally think it lacks some emotion aside from the mechanical ritards and dynamic changes. Great technique though, but still
Heifetz does it better. Fo sho.
Tell me what you want.
What you really really want.
Is it too soon to post that again?
I tried out Pandora today. Pretty freakin' sweet if you ask me. It reminds me a lot of Yahoo! music/Launch/whatever they called it, but without music videos. Yahoo! Music was only music videos, and therefore only singles. You played a song and then after that, it would automatically play other songs/music videos in the same genre, and it was great because it featured a lot of lesser-known-but-freaking-awesome bands and also new and upcoming bands. However, Pandora is better in that it is more specific and doesn't feature only singles.
btw. Travis Barker still kicks ass:
indeed.
This is the only way you could make me listen to that song more than once.
Travis = awesome
Keith Moon = Awesome.
Actually, make that The Who = Awesome.
Buddy Rich = Awesome.
O, and Animal = Awesome too.
"I don't read the newspapers because they all have ugly print."
That line always makes me laugh.
Speaking of awesome quotes,
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known"
Sydney Carton :'(
Anyone want to go to the Dashboard concert this Saturday night?
Nice.
Gallop.
Season premier of Avatar today. Yes, I watch Avatar. So what. Wanna fight about it?
Today, in Foods class [can I even call it a class?], we had to write an entry in our foods journal. Mrs. L-mb-rt is going down the list in alphabetical order to select students to come up with questions/topics to write about. I was chosen first since my last name is, Chen. Well I couldn't come up with something, so she helped me and came up with "Where was the most romantic place you have eaten and with who?" and she also said you could write where you think would be most romantic or whatever. I came up with an awesome story, but I was distracted by Matt, so I didn't really get to finish. Well, I'm not going to post any of my epic today, but, look out for it. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not. I am thinking of making it a series so it might span several posts. It's going to be the next Trapped in the Closet, except with Jessica Alba. And not R. Kelly.
And not suck.
Jackie Chan + Jet Li = epic. AKA journey to the west. Story about the monkey king and stuff.

Since everyone's posting Krista and Nik's stuff on here, I think I might as well join in the fun. This is some music by my cousin, James Nee. It's my cousin singing and playing guitar, and if there are female vocals in a song, then it's his girlfriend Brooke. It's acoustic-y stuff, so if you're into that, then check it out. If you like what you hear, you should check back often, because my cousin is really indecisive about whether or not he likes a song so he is constantly posting and taking off songs both old and new.
JESUS! Japanified.
Tee hee, rape.
I'm pretty sure most of you are computer savvy. Arr, do any of you know how to edit songs? Like change the length and stuff?
Yarr.
This is bangin', mateys!
If any of you land lovers were ever to ask me what I think is one of the greatest songs ever written, I would have to say this song. Yarr, indeed.
You know, school has really gotten to my head. Not only have I begun to loathe it on a level I never thought possible, but I am starting do extremely nerdy things. Now this is a totally true story. I was re-reading the latest Naruto manga just because I was bored and Madara looks badass. So what? I read manga, that's nerdy, and everyone already knew that. Well then I just started doing some character analysis of characters in Naruto, primarily Sasuke. Getting creepy eh? That's not the end of it. While thinking IB English-like about Sasuke, I FREAKING LINKED NARUTO TO THE SCARLET LETTER. I linked Sasuke to Chillingworth, living and thriving on only revenge, like leeches. Yeah, I know. "That's just sad." Indeed it is.
Funny.
Funnier.
You know, about t-shirt design and stuff,
I say we all work together. We can incorporate into one giant mass of a clothing company. Strength in numbers. We have a bunch of designs and stuff and we can have other people go out and promote and whatnot.Yes, it would be really cool. In fact, it would be freaking awesome. It could be a fruitful experience for all of us who get involved, both financially and as a learning experience. Plus, we could totally put on our resumes that we created and managed a kick ass t-shirt company. Since Krista, Nik, and I bet a number of others can design and create awesome images that could be used on t-shirts, why not all work together? Strength in numbers right? Krista has a screen printer [Am I right Krista? Or has Vincent lied to me :( ] that and some t-shirts is pretty much all we need. Together, we can all be assigned jobs and also together, we can have a cash pool so that we can get this business going. You don't make money without spending any right? We could make a website [David] and then we could go around wearing the shirts and getting other people to wear the shirts and stuff. We could also do publicity stuff like get stickers and posters to advertise. We could also go to local stores like Volume CDs and get them to sell our stuff. I think it could really work out and go somewhere. So, everyone, think about it.
Plus, I need a job. I'm becoming broke :\
