Six days. Still not a record, but it seems like a while, doesn't it? Maybe it's cause Eric's computer is broken and he can't keep up the posting duties. Maybe it's cause I've been so distracted with other things lately, namely exams and Guitar Hero. Both of which get my arms really tired. Taking an Euro and English exam on the same day is not fun. Doing some Guitar Hero afterwards doesn't really help, either. I've nailed some stuff on expert though. Or, rather, just My Name is Jonas. 250,000+ points. 97%. You try that.
The canker sore in my mouth I've had all week doesn't really help my fatigued nature, either. Nor does the fact that I've yet to get the oil changed in my car after its been screaming at me for the past few weeks with oil level warning indicators. And the fact that my car smells like mac and cheese now and I ought to clean that out soon.
It feels weird talking about life here, so I'll just go into the Dailies. In case you forget, they're arranged from best to bestest.
Glad to see the Bloober's keeping up, though.
And after weeks and weeks of delaying and waiting for more emails (they never came...) I finally sat down and tallied all the votes. So now, without much further ado, I give you the winners of the 2007 Hubloggies.
Oh, and if its not evident enough by the graphic, the nice Hubloggies Hubloggian Awards logo was generously blessed unto us by Nik.

So my computer's been out of commission for a while, and my sister left so all that remains is the family computer, which is almost always being used by my dear father. Maybe my copmuter will be fixed in a week or two. Then I can get back on AIM [not on my phone] and facebooking.
Anyways. Got my wisdom teeth excised today. Not that bad. I've always been afraid of any form of surgery, but I was surprised how unafraid I was when I went in. Also, dude, laughing gas is crazy. Man. After sticking in the IV, before I knew it, I had my jacket on again and my parents were in the room. It was weird. I also have to say, moving around was a toughy. Well I get loads of pain meds stocked up to make up for my condition :D. A lot of pain meds. Doubt I'll use much though. If any of you guys have some extra cash on you though... ;)
Well about Monday. No school. As a part birthday/study session/ pre-exam awesomeness people can come to my house. Just to hang out. It's also my birthday so my mom is just inviting some asian friends of ours too. Not so sure about times. Maybe 1-4 ish or something? Someone bring Guitar Hero. Also, concerning my brithday, since it's exams this week, I discussed with my mom and we decided that I could have like a real party next monday or something. This monday is more along the lines of humble get-together. So yeah. Alright. Next week would be more of a party or gotothemallandwatchCLOVERFIELD.
Speaking of movies. Anyone seen previews for The Eye? Jessica Alba ftw, but I fear that may be the only redeeming quality for this asian horror movie remake. Why must white people keep remaking great asian horror movies? I should change that to "ruining." American bastardizations of classics. The Ring. Japanese version > US. US version was not bad though. One Missed Call, great movie. US version... not so much. The Eye. I doooouuuubt it. Anyways, just needed to say that.
Speaking of Japan. So David, you up for Japan week? Machine Girl? Monster Vaginas? Human Tetris?
Hey, Janki.
You did NOT just say that Cloverfield looks lame.

There are so many things we can ask "Why?" about.
"Why did it happen to me?"
"Why do we exist?"
"Why not?"
Hi.
I'm Eric.
And I'm gay.
I am currently helping Jeanette with her 5th grade english homework. She is reading one of my fav books, The Giver. She told me about how they are also reading two other books that form a "loose trilogy" with The Giver, Messenger and Gathering Blue. She already read GB, and with a quick wiki search, I found out it's about some chick named Kira [DEATHNOTE]. Well if you don't remember, the star of TG is a boy named Jonas. Well anyways, while browsing through wikipedia, I looked up the page for Messenger, and it says:
"Characters from the two earlier books reappear in Messenger, linking the novels more strongly."You know what that means. It means Jonas is freaking alive. This angers me. One of my favorite parts about the original novel is that it had such a great open-ended conclusion to it. It was up to the reader to decide whether or not Jonas was alive or dead, and the fact that it was left unknown just made it a powerful ending. I also remember reading that Lois Lowry told readers that it was all up to their own interpretation. BUT THAT'S GONE NOW ISN'T IT. I personally thought that he survived and ended up in a new civilization, one like ours, but the fact that she actually makes that canon just meh's it up for me. Well alright. That's it.

You guys have spoken. Here is the list of final nominations for the 2007 Hubloggies. Some categories may be extensive, others short. Nevertheless, make your voice count! Vote, even if you didn't nominate.
Everything in life comes in shades of grey. It tends to complicate things. Making judgments and choosing sides becomes a difficult process. Opposing sides often share similarities. Every flaw comes with embellishments. Sometimes things to praise are things to disapprove of. There really is no right and wrong. There really is no black and white. Just shades of grey. When you choose to hate something, there is always something to like about it, which just spites you even more. What's worse is finding something you agree with in something you oppose.
Why can't I just choose to hate something and leave it at that?
My computer's fucking cooling system broke. When I start it up it tells me that I should turn it off immediately and take it in for repair. So now I am on my sister's computer. Fucking bullshit.
Do I have a soul?
Do I care?
I should, shouldn't I?
There are now two new bookshelves in my house.
I am going to do this in a short time,
so I am going to start with some quick points
My cousin has show @ volume CD's in lynnhaven [near my aunt's restaurant] with some other cool bands like This is Grow and stuff. Even though you probably don't know any of them. I don't quite remember time and date right now. I think date is Feb 14th.
Drums still 4 sale man. I wanna sell my drumset.
Did you guys see that thing with the prehistoric shark? The finned shark or whatever that they found alive in Japan? Pretty cool, kinda like managing to find a living celicanth [sp?].
uh oh
WoW. lol.
and now the main part...
Well I don't usually like post lyrics for updates on anything. I did a few times on xanga, in like 7th grade... when I rain out of stuff to write. However, I just thought that Into the Ocean was an awesome song and that the lyrics were amazing. I guess also the fact that the one guy uses an erhu/chinese violin in the song [Even though it only plays a few little, but very nice, parts]. So here it is...Into the Ocean
by Blue October
I'm just a normal boy
That sank when I fell overboard
My ship would leave the country
But I'd rather swim ashore
Without a life vest, I'd be stuck again
Wish I was much more masculine
Maybe then I could learn to swim
Like 'fourteen miles away'
Now floating up and down
I spin, colliding into sound
Like whales beneath me diving down
I'm sinking to the bottom of my
Everything that freaks me out
The lighthouse beam has just run out
I'm cold as cold as cold can be
be
I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion (yeah)
Let the rain of what I feel right now...come down
Let the rain come down
Where is the coastguard
I keep looking each direction
For a spotlight, give me something
I need something for protection
Maybe flotsam junk will do just fine
The jetsam sunk, I'm left behind
I'm treading for my life believe me
(How can I keep up this breathing)
Not knowing how to think
I scream aloud, begin to sink
My legs and arms are broken down
With envy for the solid ground
I'm reaching for the life within me
How can one man stop his ending
I thought of just your face
Relaxed, and floated into space
I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion (yeah)
Let the rain of what I feel right now...come down
Let the rain come down
Now waking to the sun
I calculate what I had done
Like jumping from the bow (yeah)
Just to prove that I knew how (yeah)
It's midnight's late reminder of
The loss of her, the one I love
My will to quickly end it all
Sat front row in my need to fall
Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean, end it all
into the ocean, end it all
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion (yeah)
Let the rain of what I feel right now...come down
Let the rain come down
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
(In to space)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
(I thought of just your face)
Into the ocean (goodbye) end it all (goodbye)
Its warm again!! The guy came to our house to fix the heater. Finally. I can proudly say its over 60 in my house.
No image tonight guys, sorry. Just a few quick dailies. As always, best is last.
With my Thinkquest duties ramping up, I'm afraid I'm forced to delay the release of Hublog 6i2, the second iteration of Hublog 6 (what you're lookig at now). I realized today the horrors of true cross-platform development when you start development on Firefox. I need to start with IE. A great downfall of Macs, indeed. In my free time though, (haha, free time), I have something in mind to keep you guys occupied that might get introduced this weekend or next. Probably next.

Our heat is still broken, and its currently 60 degrees. Our highest today, I believe. Oddly, at 10 at night.

OMG!!!! HOLY LEAPING BANANAS ON A HOT SUNDAY AFTERNOON ON THE BEACH DURING HIGH TIDE WITH SEAGULLS SWARMING!!!1@@!@#!243!@$13$!@#$!@#$!@#$!64!6
the point of that you ask?.....
to take up space.

You have to admit, it iskind of catchy.
Although it still warrants a huge wtf. Well the girl[?] singing in the sleep with me song gets kind of annoying. O yeah and also the videos kind of give off a huge gay vibe. Well, what can you expect from German dance music?
The guy kind of reminds me of the singer from. MSI. Sans the pokemon of course. O yea, btw. Language may be NSFSE. Not safe for sensitive ears. But I guess if you didn't like cursing you would know the song would have cursing when the title comes up as "Bitches."
I just thought. Wouldn't it be awesome to be a midget? Everything is huge. No need for a mansion, just by a house. No need for a pool, go take a bath. Limo? Volkswagon.
Just a thought.
It hasn't really been a fun week. I've had exams, and now I'm half sick. I feel like I'm going to be full sick by tomorrow. Hurrah. And I've probably OD'd on Advil and Tylenol by now. If you don't see me tomorrow... you'll know that happened.

OMGZ GUYZ I GOTZ A JOKE!
Name this compound:
Ba(Na)2
TEEHEE!
I just noticed that my name is "dave" under posts. And its "captain dave" elsewhere. Is my name Dave? Since when?
Got a half-half day tomorrow. Hurrah. I can finally get some sleep.
I patiently await the alignment of the planets. All four of us should have a post on the front page after Matt does his inevitable post-SOU debriefing.
And yet again, one more of these things:

The producers of this Nick short were probably high when they made this.
That's algebraic!
I got a few laughs out of it.
Wii. Very very fun. Makes you want a wii doesn't it?
Anybody want to buy a drumset? Or know anyone who wants one. Someone willing to buy a kind of crappy one of course, for maybe uh 200 bucks? Or less, we can talk it over some tea. Yeah. It's not that great, but I mean if you just kind of want one and aren't too serious about getting some drums, these are for you. It's like the student violin of the drum world.
Listened to some Paul Gilbert today. I like him. In a I-think-his-stuff-is-cool way, not of course in a "Dude, wanna go out?" kind of way. Creator of the human capo and 3-string guitar set up.
I was looking around on colbertondemand.com and looked at top rated. This was number one. I have to say. He is like the coolest person on TV right now. I wish could sing like that lol. "And the rooooooo....."

Man, Washington blows Chuck Norris out of the water. O yeah, btw the video has some naughty language, just to let you know. Well it is kind of retarded, but I found it hilarious, especially with the picture where he throws a knife into heaven.
He'll kick you apart.
Random embellishments. Are they any good? In music? In design?
You could say the Tetris and Mario pieces are random embellishments, as well as the exclamation point in the disclaimer. Which, I have to change to MMVII after this. So are they any good? I noticed in February's issue of the newly redesigned Wired that there is a random red stripe in the middle of the spine. Is this a design choice? Absolutely. It was someone's job to come up with a design for the magazine, and he chose to create a random red stripe. It is nuances like these that I like in a design. The subtle yet obvious when you look hard enough. Pointless yet poignant at the same time.
So the Tetris and Mario pieces aren't really subtle. But you get my point.
I got facinated in the idea of Adobe Illustrator a few days ago after finding out from Krista what it was a few days ago. So I drew this tonight:

This Thinkquest stuff is proving to be more time consuming than I thought. All I've been doing tonight is alternating between designing for Thinkquest and practicing like my 6 pieces that I need to learn. Make that 7. 2 solos, 2 duos, 1 hymn, 2 Classical pieces.
The odd thing is that I actually want to do these things. As in, I actually want to do work. Weird.
About the two Classical pieces. They're for the ODU Classical Competition in March. I'm winning. $1,000 first place and $600-some for second. Okay, so I probably won't win. The level I'm in is open for all high schoolers... and there are certainly people much better than me. People come from New York to compete in this thing. But I'm gonna try my ass off.
If that's the proper expression.
And as a caution, I'm going to start denying IPs this weekend. I've already started. So if all of a sudden, you can't access this site, tell me and I'll get you back on. I might have accidently blocked your IP, or someone is using yours as a mask. I've already accidently logged Eric's and Krista's IPs. I don't know how. Maybe they are masking. I only block repeats.
Everyday I spend at least 20 minutes compiling a list of IP addresses that have spammed my site. Over 75 comments a day, I can safely assume. I now have 64 unique IP addresses logged all on two sticky notes, with 23 of them occuring more than once. I'm coming after you.
You're wasting my sticky notes.
The quote of the week. "They're daywalkers." When Jeff, Keia, Jessica, and I went to the mall on monday, Jessica and I were heading down to the theater on the escalator. We saw these 2 totally gothed out people and the one of the two guys behind us said "They're daywalkers." I died. Of laughter. Well not right there, but yeah, it was pretty damn funny. Another great mall moment was when I walked up to Jessica [Est-ur-ez] and said "Hey Jessica!" and scared the crap out of her.
I have lots of makeup work to do tonight which sucks. Exams are coming up. Which sucks. I got like all my hair cut off. Which sucks.
I was surfing the net over the weekend and found some interesting little things. Such as this. I guess the Wii can be used for games targeted toward older audiences too. A fun site on my magical journey through the internets was size easy, where you can compare the sizes of stuff which dimensions you type in. It is intended for comparing product sizes that you like find online, but of course, people are going to do things like make charts of reproductive organ sizes. Or maybe that's just me. Don't say you didn't think about making a "my package" vs "your package" chart...
Did you know?
-That dear old Nikholas is in this video.
-It changes when the sun goes down.
-When the time is right and the night is bright, we will see the things we've come to find.
-We can find the mind's eye if we try.
-The psychiatrist is posing as psychologist.
-I fell down in the desert, baby? Yeah. I had nothing but a piece of a paper. Oooooo yeah. I had to write something down.
-She doesn't do major credit cards. I doubt she does receipts. It's all not quite legitimate.
-All I've got is a dirty trick. I'm chasing down the wolves to save you.
-I have nothing to write here but song lyrics?
I guess I could make this fun and ask what all these bands have in common. If you give the answer I'm looking for, you may be rewarded. Possibly.
Sometimes I write long elaborate posts about things I care about. Sometimes I don't. In celebration of another hump day, this will be a "don't" day.
You may notice comment spam shoot up in the coming days... significantly. I removed the security check which I thought didn't work... and what do you know. Comment spam shoots up by at least 500%. I'm no expert mathematician... but I'm sure that a 500% increase in comment spam constitutes (with a y < 0 restriction, of course) a case of BATSHIT CRAZY.
But now, I'm collecting IP addresses. I finally figured out how. So far, out of 20 or so comments I've deleted only about 2 or 3 IPs have been repeats. I currently have a list of 15 IPs I'm going to put on my banlist. Once these IPs are banned, no more comment spam. But knowing these networks, they'll find a way. So I will single-handedly ban all the spammers. One by one.
This way, there won't be an annoying security check. 121.144.62.243... I'm coming after you. Soon, this will be you:

So, we're back. You should be noticing that things are somewhat smoother and faster, thanks to a dedicated Grid/Container solution from mediatemple.
And you can safely visit http://theblacktop.com now instead of hublog.theblacktop.com because I figured out how to do the rerouting.
So expect a little facelift soon. Or maybe not-so-soon. Before, my target was this weekend, but now, seeing as this weekend has come and gone, I'm shooting for mid-February. I'll likely miss that too so I'll project for March 11, 2007, when Hublog turns 3. Or 3 and 9 months if you live in the Vatican. Or 3 and 10 months if you count thinking about doing it as conception.
So many good candidates for Dailies I've found recently... so at least I won't have to go digging for more on a light day. I'll post four tonight. As always, best is last.
Oh, but I have to post this outside of the Dailies. I accidently stumbled across the video when I was on Youtube today when Sonia friended me... and I was thrown back shocked. I never ever want to stumble upon something like this again. I'd say its worth a good laugh... but not really. A mediocre chuckle? A flaccid attempt at one?
We're back online! In case you haven't noticed.
After a day or so of downtime, Hublog is back on a better, faster server. This time, this site has its own dedicated container on a mediatemple Grid Server. You don't have to know what that means, you only have to know that it means we'll have less frequent downtime and things should be noticably faster from here on.
I thought that switching servers, keeping the same domain, and transferring a carbon copy of the site+database would be hasslesome, but it wasn't that bad. A few hiccups and now we're back online.
I hit my target of Sunday afternoon, but this site actually might not get up until Sunday night because of domain/DNS stuff. I need to figure out how to point the Rails app to my doman's root directory, so you may not actually read this until Sunday night or Monday afternoon. But look at the post time.
Weren't we hearing just weeks ago cries of 'listen to the Baker Commission!" and "we need a new direction!"? If liberals haven't got the idea, the president's move is a compromise that attempts to satisfy everyone.
Simply put, some want out and some want to stay there. This move balances out these desires because it's a short term increase for the purpose of getting us out within a year.
But then again, negation theory, right? Even if it means contradicting themselves, liberals have to disagree with everything he says. It works out for them, because they just increase the anti-Bush tension. Just don't try bullshitting me into thinking that you're trying to be "bi-partisan," Pelosi.
However, some of the republicans who dissent are scaring me. I mean, they have freedom of expression as much as I do, but i do have some lurking suspicions, exemplified by this CBS News article:
"I think this speech given last night by this president represents the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam, if it's carried out," Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., a potential 2008 presidential contender, told Rice.
Is he distancing himself from Bush so that he can run for President? Because he sure as hell just scared away any support that he would have gotten from me. In ebonics, "Fuck you, cracka."
Bottom line, it's never enough with them. Never. Not until we enslave white people. Because it's all about them. Let's help the poor, so they'll vote for us.
But that's just me being nasty. And by the way, in case anyone was wondering, I do enjoy being the rebel. I understand what it was like for Democrats back in the 60's and 70's.
I can't do anything. You needed to see for yourself. You chose the consequences.
I need to find a more productive use of staying up late on school nights. Like doing homework.
captain xeno out

Have you ever looked at someone and wondered what they were like as a child? Actually, even before that, as a toddler or new-born. Well, I think about it sometimes and find it kind of crazy how different we become as we age. When people are first born, we are all essentially the same. [Except for like obvious stuff, like if you were born without a 3rd testicle, which by the way you should get checked out if you only have 2. Why? Cuz that's just weird.] Another thing is, is there anything on our minds when we are born? Are we all truly blank slates at birth? Our thoughts and attitudes, are they molded by nature or nurture? We have yet to know. [It would probably be relatively simple to do some experiments to find out, but I think there are laws against inhumane treatment of people. Although, inhumane is a relative term...] Well I am going to stick to my thoughts of how we are relatively blank slates. I mean, as babies, there is no racism or judgement of others. You haven't been in the world long enough to develop any opinions on anything. Well, as we grow, our minds become more composed. We develop thoughts, judgments, opinions, ideas, tastes, etc. As this growth progresses, so does the growth of the dividers between us. We branch further and further away from each other. We leave the clique and form our own identity. New cliques form. Groups split. All that good stuff. Thus, diffusion.
I had some point to that whole diffusion concept, but I lost it when I lost my post in a browser crash, much like Mr. Hu.
Time for some geeking out. The anime for Bleach has finally ended its filler arc, which was actually pretty good. The last few episodes of the arc kicked ass. Well that's maybe just because I read the manga and can see all the foreshadowing and chiasmi being used. Anyways, when episode 110 comes out this week, the original storyline will resume. Which will totally. kick. ass. Also, February 15th. What is the significance of the date? All you nerds out there should know. Of all the readers here, probably just Nikholas.
What kind of name is Red Jumpsuit Apparatus?
David has his dailies. I shall start my own "Did you know?" section.
Did you know?
-Some 17 year old created nuclear fusion in his basement?
-Ctrl+Shift+t recovers tabs you closed in firefox?
-Night at the Museum is a really good movie?
-Eating sushi in the movie theater is fun?
-Jay Chou can actually be understood in his new song [which kicks ass]? [As opposed to his Chinese in songs like this one. The song kicks ass, but you can't really understand it. By that I mean even Chinese people can't really understand him without looking up the lyrics. Then you get it. Anyways. I have really grown to like the man and his music.]
So a few days ago I lost a post because my browser crashed (damned safari...), so now I'm going to attempt to recreate the most important announcement I had on it. I just hope I can recreate the Jobsesque charisma.
So, changes are coming. A new iteration of Hublog is underday. Its not going to be an entire backend overhaul, only a simple facelift, new looks. So I'm going to call it Hublog 6i2, for Hublog 6, interation 2, since you guys seemed fond of the Hublog name as opposed to 9legged. It will be around these parts in mid to late February.
A major change coming with Hublog 6i2, though. The introduction of advertising on Hublog. Yeah, I've thought about it for a long time, and now its finally happening. More money into this site means better services. You wait a few weeks and see what more money can buy (read: new, faster servers). However, these aren't going to be your run-of-the-mill Google ads. No. These are going to be your ads.
So here's the deal. Every week, I'm going to be auctioning off prime real estate on Hublog 6i2. Believe me, when I say prime real estate, it means everyone's going to see it. Its going to be much like Parth's advertisements for Homecoming, only they will be less obtrusive and won't compromise aspects of the site (like the title). You can put whatever you want on this real estate, so long as its appropriate. Links, text, shoutouts, big bold letters, whatever. Of course, the bigger space the message takes up, the more its going to cost you.
Starting rates will be 5¢ (5 cents) for simple text ads and 10¢ (10 cents) for ads with graphics (i recommend the services of a certain mr. nikolas if you want graphics made). Of course, the bigger space you take up, the greater the starting rate will be. But everything is up for negotiation. So, once you've locked in your bid for 5 or 10 cents (or more), you're ad is going up the following week. Unless of course, someone else outbids you. Highest bid wins.
New ads ("sponsers," if you will) go up every Sunday. So basically you have the entire week to talk to me and work something out. And remember your audience here. You're looking at an average of over 30 visits a day and just under 1000 visits a month1, so you know these ads'll get attention. And these aren't just random people, these are your peers and people who would actually care about these things you post, whether they may be ads for sites or just big bold letters that say "democrats ftw."
But bear in mind, this is just a little experiment to see if something like this could possibly work. Consider it in beta, if you will. And anyone interested being Hublog 6i2's first sponser, get in touch with me.
Woke up late, did relatively nothing. Productive day, I'd say. I was actually done with most of my homework by 4. I'm proud.
I want to address something now that I'd usually put as a Daily. Little Asia on the Hill is an article in the NYTimes that is focused on UCBerkeley's overwhelming 46% Asian population. Its a fantastic read and I recommend everyone going through it. It brings up some interesting points on racial equality, meritocracy, creating a diverse environment, and, of course, Affirmative Action. Asians are only 12% of California's population but make up a very large chunk, 37%, a majority, of its higher education institutions.
I found these quotes particularily interesting:
Asians are typecast in college admissions offices as quasi-robots programmed by their parents to ace math and science.
"You could argue that the campus is more diverse now," because Asians comprise so many different cultures, says Dr. Hollinger. A little more than half of Asian freshmen at Berkeley are Chinese, the largest group, followed by Koreans, East-Indian/Pakistani, Filipino and Japanese.
"You hear some teachers say that the Asian kids get great grades but just sit there and don't participate," she says. "Talking and thinking are not the same thing. Being a student to some Asians means that it's not your place to question, and that flapping your gums all day is not the best thing."
The story of Jon Lee's journey at Berkeley is compelling. As president of the Asian-American Association, he has tried to dispel stereotypes of "the Dragon Lady seductress or the idea that everybody plays the piano."
Look for a new design... coming soon. I'll be switching hosts at the end of the month and hopefully (keeping my fingers crossed) things will transition smoothly then. If not, there might be a period of downtime the weekend after exams. Things are tight for me because my hosting here expires January 26th, and thats the first day we have off. So there might be some downtime that weekend if things don't go smoothly. If things go smoothly, I'll transition early next weekend when we have MLK day off to work a little bit.
I'll probably miss the redesign deadline with the server switch but hey, no one's perfect. Although, maybe I should start to embrace the 37signals philosophy of "deliver half, not half-assed." As in, deliver half of a good product rather than one full half-assed project. 37signals. Wouldn't it be awesome to work there?
The entire fifth (well, actually the second half of the fourth but its essentially the fifth) movement of Beethoven's Ninth can't even fit in itunes. Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125, "Choral" - V - Presto/recitative: "O Freunde" - Allegro assai: "Freude, schöner Götterfunken" - Alla marcia - Allegro assai vivace: "Froh, wie seine Sonnen" - Andante maestoso: "Seid umschlungen, Millionen!" - Prestissimo: "Seid umschlungen, Millionen!" should be the full name (the undereducated call it "Ode to Joy.") itunes goes to like the first Millionen. I'll tell you what, if you have a song that can't fit into itunes... thats pure genius.
I've been getting little sleep these past days. Isn't it fun how our teachers load us with work the week we come back? Awesome.
Now for some fun, the Dailies. I'm gonna capitalize it now to reduce confusion. As always, the best one is last. But you guys know that.
So, here's to a new year. For starting fresh. I don't know about you guys, but for me, fresh starts don't come until Lost begins again or until school starts again in the fall.
I guess as a little new years gift to you guys, I'll get rid of the comment math checker when I can. It really doesn't stop spam. I have found better ways to combat spam.
Oh. A new year is here.
Great. Awesome.
I'm a bit late as well.
How timely.
Change, please.
